Understanding the payment failure process helps you avoid service interruptions.
Retry Schedule
When a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge. If retries continue to fail, the following happens:
- First failure: You receive an email notification to update your payment method
- Second failure: Another reminder email
- Third failure: Your Breeze may be suspended, and your account flagged
How to Fix
- Update your payment method in Billing → Manage Payment Methods
- Ensure sufficient funds are available
- Contact your bank if the card is being declined
Suspended Service
Suspended Breezes are stopped but not destroyed. Your data is preserved. Update your payment method to restore service.
