What Is the Resource Usage Report?

Your resource usage report provides a detailed breakdown of how your Breeze consumes CPU, memory, storage, and bandwidth over time. Understanding this report helps you right-size your plan and avoid unexpected overage charges.

Accessing the Report

Log in to your portal and navigate to your Breeze's dashboard. The resource usage section displays current and historical metrics. Use the date range selector to view daily, weekly, or monthly trends.

Key Metrics Explained

CPU Usage

Shows the percentage of allocated CPU cores your Breeze is consuming. Sustained usage above 80% suggests you may benefit from upgrading to a plan with more vCPUs.

Memory (RAM)

Displays current and peak memory consumption. If your Breeze regularly uses more than 90% of available RAM, applications may start swapping to disk, causing performance degradation.

Storage

Reports total disk space used versus allocated. Monitor growth trends to anticipate when you might need additional storage. Running out of disk space can crash databases and applications.

Bandwidth

Tracks inbound and outbound data transfer. Your plan includes a monthly bandwidth allocation. The report shows cumulative usage and the percentage consumed so far in the billing cycle.

Interpreting Patterns

  • Spikes -- sudden increases may indicate traffic surges, backups running, or a runaway process
  • Steady growth -- gradual upward trends signal organic growth that may require a plan upgrade
  • Flat lines at ceiling -- resources at maximum indicate throttling or resource exhaustion

Taking Action

  • Set up alerts for thresholds (e.g., 80% CPU, 90% disk)
  • Use reports to justify plan upgrades or downgrades
  • Compare usage across billing periods to spot anomalies
