Cloudflare provides free DNS hosting, DDoS protection, and CDN caching.
Setup
- Create a free Cloudflare account
- Add your domain to Cloudflare
- Cloudflare will scan your existing DNS records
- Update your domain's nameservers at your registrar to Cloudflare's nameservers
Add DNS Records
In Cloudflare's dashboard, add:
- A Record:
@→ Your Breeze IP (Proxied or DNS Only) - A Record:
www→ Your Breeze IP
Proxy vs DNS Only
- Proxied (orange cloud): Traffic goes through Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, SSL
- DNS Only (grey cloud): Direct connection to your server
